The modern era is characterized by growing environmental awareness and a shift toward sustainable practices. In Georgia, companies implementing green technologies such as LLC ESCO-S, Dio, David Vashadze’s Phytobalneotherapy Center, Mountain Resort Gantiadi, and the Alliance for the Control of Non-Communicable Diseases express deep commitment to corporate social responsibility.
These companies, based on the principles of mutual understanding, established a green competition in 2024, which covers a wide range of sustainability aspects, including environmental protection, social equality, and economic viability. For this reason, and with their direct involvement, the green competition titled ‘Journalists for Climate Mitigation and Adaptation’ was held in 2023. The number of journalists participating in the competition is growing. These individuals significantly reduce carbon emissions and environmental degradation. Such approaches prioritize corporate responsibility.
This is the second journalists’ competition in Georgia. The competition began on January 30, 2025, at the Cidre Club in Bazaleti and will last for the next three months. Thirty leading journalists from the country, along with business structures interested in the issue, are participating.
